I remember when the ice cream was a prize, when it marked the time announcing the summertime.
Today ice cream is much more and Anselli has traced its history.
In 1930 the Anselli family produced waffles for whipped cream, once called “milk and honey”. They were exceptional artisans.
I met them in 1979 when, together with my father Angelo, I opened Gelateria Marghera and We became their client.
The partnership was immediately of mutual respect since we had the same passion for work and rigour. I always remember this special encounter with great emotion.
When Anselli decided to expand his business, he asked to us – his customers – for feedback and advices. It was a great intuition. What could be more logical than asking the customer what he needed?
The Anselli family had no children and successors who could continue to perform their life’s work; so when they asked me to take over the company in 1994, I accepted.
Thus, the experience of Gelateria Marghera and its innovative ideas, unique in Milan scene, have become over the years the new strength of Anselli.
What we produce for our business is also for all those who work in the sector; what we create for ourselves is also for the advantage of others, customers and competitors.
Anselli has become one of the most prestigious brands in the field of quality artisanal ice cream. Together with all my indispensable and passionate co-workers, I can only be proud to keep the name of this extraordinary family and company who taught us to preserve the special ingredient called “quality”.
